Surface protection for a wide range of products, from smooth to rough to curved metal surfaces. No adhesive residue.

PE (polyethylene) is the simplest polymer organic compound and is the most widely used polymer material in the world today. PE protective film is made of special polyethylene (PE) plastic film as the base material and is divided into high density PE protective film, medium density PE and low density PE according to their different densities.

What types of polyethylene film are there?

Polyethylene film can be made from different types of polyethylene. The best-selling types of polyethylene are

Low density polyethylene (LDPE).

High density polyethylene (HDPE).

Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE).

Polyethylene films can also be made in different colours or transparent. In addition, they can be purchased in different thicknesses.

The biggest advantage of PE protective film is that the product being protected is not contaminated during production, processing, transportation, storage and use. The biggest advantage of PE protective film is that the products being protected are not polluted, corroded or scratched during production, processing, transportation, storage and use, protecting the original smooth and shiny surface, thus improving product quality and market competitiveness.

What is polyethylene film used for?

Polyethylene film is the most common plastic used today. As such, it is used in a wide range of applications, including

Packaging.

The manufacture of labels.

The manufacture of plastic products (e.g. plastic bags).

Covering machinery or equipment.

Protecting painted interior surfaces.

PE film is an industrial film product with good toughness, puncture resistance, high tensile strength, high elongation, good self-adhesion, high transparency, etc. PE film is mainly extruded from a mixture of several different polyene resins. It has puncture resistance, superb strength and high performance. It can be used for packaging goods stacked on pallets, making the packaging more stable and neat, with super high performance. The powerful waterproof effect is widely used.

PE wrap film is non-toxic, odourless and tasteless and can meet food hygiene performance requirements. It does not react with moisture, grease and compounds, is insoluble in most solvents at room temperature and can withstand temperatures as low as -70°C. Good weldability, good permeability to oxygen and carbon dioxide, poor permeability to water vapour.

As the density increases, the mechanical properties and barrier properties also increase accordingly, and the heat resistance is good. Polyethylene of the same density has different properties due to different film forming processes. This is because of the fast cooling of the cast method, low crystallinity, high transparency and low turbidity, but the molecular arrangement tends to be more irregular, so the barrier is small, i.e. the light transmission is large, the elongation is low and the tear resistance is low.

Untreated PE film is a much more difficult material to print. This is because polyethylene is non-polar, chemically stable, insoluble in most solvents, weakly adsorbs to inks and does not dry firmly. Therefore, PE film needs to be treated for printability before or during printing.
